Cary Imps
The Cary Club Swim Team is the summer recreational swim team of the Cary Swim Club, which competes in the southern division of the Tarheel Swim Association. All members of the club who are aged 4 to 18 years as of June 1st are eligible to join the team. League dual meets are held on Tuesday evenings beginning mid-June through mid-July. Our team offers a developmental program, Sunfish for younger swimmers aged 4 to 6 years old, who are not yet ready for the larger dual meets. Additionally, we do offer swim lessons for members and non- members. Come join us! GO IMPS!
The Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA) was created in 1971 to “promote and encourage competitive and recreational summer swimming for Wake County youth.” Today it consists of over 90 swim clubs in the greater Wake County area. Clubs are placed in either the north or south division based upon geographic location within Wake County. The leagues and scheduling committee strives to group teams into further subdivisions with other teams of equal strength by using dual meet data from the previous season. Three meets will be within in our assigned division and the other three meets will be out of our division, adding some interesting competition. Swim meets follow TSA rules for swimming meet management, competition and judging.
Be an informed parent and swimmer by frequently reviewing the TSA website and the TSA blog spot Tuesday Night Lights, which provides valuable information such as clinic schedules, other needs of teams, year round swim team activities and more.
