Whether you are a beginning swimmer or have been swimming for years we welcome all swimmers to the Cary Imps Swim Team. Our coaches will provide instructions that will help you improve your times or teach you the four basic stokes.
The Cary Imps are the summer recreational swim team of the Cary Swim Club, competing in the Southern League of the Tarheel Swim Association. All members of the Club who are aged 4 to 18 years as of June 1st are eligible to compete on the team. 2016 Swim Meets are on Tuesday evenings beginning June 14th through July 19th. Every swimmer will swim at the meets and earn placement ribbons but it's more about the fun of swimming and being a part of the team. Come join us! GO IMPS!
The Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA) was created in 1971 to “promote and encourage competitive and recreational summer swimming for Wake County youth.” Today it consists of over 80 swim clubs in the greater Wake County area. Clubs are placed in divisions based upon years of membership, size of team and geographic location within Wake County. The leagues and scheduling committee strives to group teams with other teams of equal strength. Three of our meets will be within in our division and the other three will be out of our division, adding some interesting competition. Our swim meets follow TSA rules for swimming meet management, judging, so forth and so on.
Be an informed parent and swimmer by frequently reviewing the TSA website and the TSA blog spot Tuesday Night Lights, which provides valuable information such as clinic schedules, other needs of teams, year round swim team activities and more.
