2026 Practice Schedule
Attendance at practice is highly encouraged for all swimmers and is a prerequisite for competing in Main Events during swim meets. Swimmers must attend at least Monday evening or Tuesday morning practice to be eligible to swim in main events at meets. It is at practice where swimmers receive the instruction necessary to become proficient and strong swimmers. Our younger swimmers are especially inspired when the older swimmers model good sportsmanship and leadership during practice.
Practices are offered on the following schedule, with weekday morning practices beginning once school lets out:

- The morning after a swim meet, UNLESS the Tuesday night meet is postponed then there will be morning practice.
- Memorial Day (Monday, May 25th).
Swimmers should arrive 15 minutes before the start of practice to stretch and get their caps and goggles on. Parents, please review the Parent Behavior Guidelines regarding behavior during practices.
SUNFISH:
Sunfish are our 6 and unders who may be new to swimming but have some basic familiarity and comfort level with the water and are continuing to build skills for water safety and lane swimming (there is no separate registration or fees for Sunfish). These are swimmers who may not be fully able to participate in lane swimming for the duration of practice and/or compete in our Dual Meets during Summer Swim Season (though we certainly encourage them to try, pending coach approval!). The Sunfish program is not appropriate for young children with absolutely no pool or swimming experience - these swimmers will be recommended for paid swim lessons instead to build skills to support them in getting comfortable with the water..
The head coach will determine if it is safe for your child to participate in the Sunfish program versus focusing on swim lessons, participating in Sunfish in tandem with swim lessons, or joining their peers in the lanes. The goal of the Sunfish program is to teach water safety skills, build on beginning swimming skills, and increase confidence in the water.
Practice: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday 10:45*-11:30 am or 4:30*- 5:15 pm
No practice on Tuesday afternoons, or on Wednesday mornings once the weekly dual meets begin.
